Tinubu–Shettima: The Ticket Seeks a Second Mandate
As the 2027 race takes shape, President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima reaffirm the partnership that carried APC to victory in 2023.

The Tinubu–Shettima ticket that emerged victorious in the 2023 general election is seeking a renewed mandate in 2027, with the President and Vice President continuing to present a united front on the administration's economic reform agenda.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, a former Governor of Borno State and ex-Senator, has taken on an increasingly visible role in the administration — representing Nigeria at international forums, chairing key economic and security councils, and deputising for the President on state visits.
Supporters point to the complementary strengths of the pairing: Tinubu's decades of political organising experience from Lagos, paired with Shettima's grounding in North-East security and development issues, at a time when national cohesion remains a central campaign theme.
As the APC Presidential Campaign Council ramps up mobilisation under DG Abdul'Aziz Yari, the Tinubu–Shettima ticket is expected to be a central rallying point for the party heading into January 2027.
